Wilfred de Waal Plant Export is based in Genderen but four trucks, packed with indoor and outdoor plants, make weekly trips to Germany and the UK.

The company founder, Wilfred de Waal, started exporting superior quality plants in 1998. He began with just one single truck. ‘I bought an old lorry and started to drive around. That was pioneering.’
Nowadays, four sturdy Scania trucks make their way to neighbouring customers east and westwards. Six days a week, a team of five people ensures the plant business runs smoothly and efficiently. Their dedication pays off. A large number of garden centres, horticulturists, flower shops, market traders and wholesalers purchase our fresh assortment of plants on a weekly basis.

Wilfred de Waal: ‘We are a small company with short transportation lines. This allows us to shift gear quickly. Customers appreciate that. A good relationship with customers is extremely important. Reliability and trust are paramount. One has to merit a customer. That’s why we are eager to provide a good and fast service.’
